JUDGMENT / ORDER

1. Petitioner has approached this Court complaining about the seizure of vehicle KL-14-D-8329. According to him, the vehicle was seized on the allegation that the same was involved in transporting river sand. Apparently, the petitioner has approached the first respondent to finalise the proceedings in Crime No.602/2014 of Payyannur Police Station.
2. Learned Government Pleader submits that the first respondent is the authority concerned to consider whether the vehicle has to be released or not.
3. Having regard to the nature of the contentions, I am of the view that this writ petition can be disposed of as under:
The petitioner shall file an application before the W.P.(C)No.13857 of 2014 -:2:-
first respondent seeking release of his vehicle, which shall be considered by the first respondent, in accordance with the procedure prescribed and appropriate interim orders shall be passed, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment and final orders, within a period of six weeks thereafter.
Writ petition is disposed of accordingly.
