ORDER:
Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and Sri H.Venugopal, learned Standing Counsel for the respondents- Corporation.
The first petitioner’s husband died in harness while working as Cleaner in the respondents-Corporation. He is said to be the only bread earner to his family and after his death, the first petitioner made an application seeking appointment on compassionate grounds. However, she was not given any appointment as there was ban on recruitment for appointment on compassionate grounds. The petitioner submits that the Government have issued G.O.Ms.No.2, dated 05.01.2013 lifting the ban and to provide compassionate appointments to the dependants of the employees who died in harness.
In view of the same, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 14.06.2013 submitted by the first petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate grounds as per G.O.Ms.No. 2, dated 05.01.2013 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
The Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions if any pending consideration shall stand closed. No costs.
