JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petition filed under Section 439(1) Cr.P.C. Petitioner is the accused in Crime No.1425/2011 of Hosdurg Police Station registered for the offences under Sections 465,468 and 471 and S.12(1)(b) of Indian Passport Act.
The allegation is that the petitioner obtained a passport in false address and left India for a foreign country. The submission of the learned counsel is that the petitioner is innocent and he has not made any false document . The petitioner has been in judicial custody since 23.4.2014.
Heard both sides.
There is no dispute that the materials relied on by the prosecution prima facie reveal commission of the offences by the petitioner. They are serious offences. He was absconding before he was arrested. He has been in judicial custody since 25.4.2014. If the petitioner is released on bail at this stage, there is a likelihood of his fleeing from justice and it may hamper the investigation. So I am not inclined to grant his prayer to release him on bail.
In the result, this application is dismissed.
