1. These contempt petitions arise out of similar factual background. Applicants are original petitioners. Their petitions were allowed by learned Single Judge by common order dated 13.10.2011. Petitioners were held qualified for being appointed as Vidyasahayaks. It was provided that they may be placed in their order of merit and given all benefits, including seniority at their respective places.
2. Such order was not complied with. Petitioners, therefore, filed these contempt petitions. In response to the notice issued, respondents appeared through learned Assistant Government Pleader Shri Rahul Dave. Previously, it was pointed out to us that against the decision of learned Single Judge, State had preferred Letters Patent Appeals. We had, therefore, adjourned these contempt petitions from time to time, to enable the State to pursue such appeals.
3. Today, learned Assistant Government Pleader stated that Letters Patent Appeals have been dismissed. In compliance of the directions of learned Single Judge, therefore, respondents shall issue call letters to the applicants latest by 11th May 2012. He further stated that pursuant to such call letters, the petitioners shall be called by the authorities for identification of the districts where they should be posted as also for verification of their documents. This will be done, as far as possible, on 15th May 2012. Once the same is done without any further delay, appointment orders shall be issued as per their merit position.
4. On such statement being made before us, counsel for the petitioners did not press these contempt petitions. These petitions are disposed of accordingly with liberty to apply in case of difficulty.
