Appearance: vs Public Prosecutor For

The applicant, through Jail, applies for his release on parole. He has been convicted under Section 302 of IPC and sentenced to life imprisonment. Being aggrieved, he has instituted an appeal, which is pending in this Court. A Division Bench of this Court has already taken a view that the Jail authorities cannot grant parole when appeal is pending before this High Court. Since the parole has been rejected on this ground, nothing can be faulted with the rejection. Hence, this Application is rejected.
