Appearance: vs Mr.L.R. Pujari

High Court Of Gujarat|09 February, 2012

JUDGMENT / ORDER

I have heard Vikramsinh Kanusinh Chavda, party-in-person in this application for extension of parole. He has been convicted under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to life imprisonment. His appeal against conviction is dismissed by the High Court. He is in jail since 10th of February, 1995. Jail authorities granted parole and released him for 15 days on 7.12.1996. Needless to say that he has to return to the jail on 23rd December, 1996. He wants extension of parole by this Court.
The learned APP says that he has already moved the Jail authorities for extension of parole. The fact remains that by reason of the fact that his mother is a heart patient, the Jail authorities had released him on parole for 15 days. On court queries, the applicant says that he has two brothers, who are working. Besides he says that his father is aged and not keeping good health. I do not think that it is for this Court to interfere in these matters and it is for the Jail authorities to look into the same. Application is rejected.
