1. Counsel for the applicant pointed out that in Special Civil Application No.820 of 2011, learned Single Judge of this Court passed an order on 31.1.2011, wherein directions were issued to decide the representation of the petitioner within three months from the date of receipt of such representation. When this was not done by the respondents, the applicant preferred contempt petition, being Misc. Civil Application No.1685 of 2011. In such petition, Division Bench, on 8.7.2011, while disposing of the application, directed respondent No.3 to decide the representation within two weeks from the receipt of the order. Counsel pointed out that such order of the Division Bench was served on respondent No.3 on 19.7.2011, despite which, no decision on the representation of the petitioner has been taken.
2. We are prima facie of the opinion that respondent No.3 has ignored the Court's directions not once but twice.
3. NOTICE to respondent No.3 returnable on 3rd April 2012. By returnable date, if no final decision is rendered on the representation of the applicant, respondent No.3 shall remain personally present before this Court to answer to the charges of contempt.
Direct Service is permitted.
