After hearing Mr. Soparkar, learned senior Advocate appearing on behalf of the petitioner and after taking into consideration the fact that on January 6, 2012, the same officer granted stay of operation of the demand till June 30, 2012 on condition of deposit of Rs.5 Crore before a specified date and the petitioner having complied with such direction, we find that the petitioner has made out a strong prima facie case to have stay of implementation and operation of the order at Annexure 'A'.
We accordingly grant stay of the order at Annexure "A" to this petition for a period of three weeks from today with liberty to the petitioner to apply for extension on the selfsame application after service of notice on the respondents.
The petitioner is at liberty to communicate this order to the concerned respondent forthwith.
Direct Service is permitted.
