JUDGMENT / ORDER

THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE C.V. NAGARJUNA REDDY WRIT PETITION No.34914 of 2014 Dated: 18.11.2014 Between:
Anwar-Ul-Uloom Educational Society, Rep. by its Hon’ble Secretary and Correspondent Sri Mahboob Alam Khan and others.
.. Petitioners and The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Ltd. and others.
.. Respondents Counsel for the petitioners: Mr. M.S. Chandresh Counsel for the respondents: Mr. S.V. Ramana For Mr. O. Manoher Reddy The court made the following:
ORDER:
This writ petition is filed with the grievance that in the bill dated 07.11.2014 in respect of the petitioners’ service connection No.C1000541 (USC.101332450), the Assistant Accounts Officer, ERO-9, of respondent No.1 has shown the bill amount as Rs.6,10,677.19 ps. though the total units shown to have been consumed were only 9,702 (KWH).
Though, prima facie, the sum demanded under the bill does not appear to be commensurate with the admitted units shown to have been consumed by the petitioners, this Court does not intend to entertain the writ petition for the simple reason that the petitioners failed to represent to the competent authority.
In view of the same, the petitioners are permitted to approach respondent No.5 with a detailed representation within three days from today. On such representation being made, respondent No.5 shall consider the same, wherein he shall give an opportunity of personal hearing to the representative of the petitioners and communicate his decision on the dispute raised by the petitioners. Till this dispute is resolved, the respondents shall not disconnect the power supply, subject to the petitioners tentatively depositing with the respondents a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) at the time of making representation.
Subject to the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel to the disposal of the writ petition, W.P.M.P.No.43683 of 2014 shall stand disposed of as infructuous.
