JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioner is accused, in Crime No.574 of 2014 of the Perinthalmanna Police Station for the offences punishable under Secs.143, 145, 147, 452, 332, 225B and 294(b) r/w Sec.149 of the Indian Penal Code, apprehends arrest and has filed this application.
2. Learned Public Prosecutor has opposed the application.
It is submitted that the Perinthalmanna police had registered Crime No.573 of 2014 for the offence under Sec.118 of the Police Act against some of the accused. They were arrested and brought to the Police Station. On 11.04.2014 at about 10p.m, other accused including the petitioner attacked the policemen on duty in their attempt to free the arrested accused. The policemen sustained injuries.
3. Learned counsel submits that the allegations are not true. According to the petitioner, the accused in Crime No.573 of 2014 were released on bail but the Sub Inspector who came to the police station thereafter got agitated and attacked the petitioner and others.
B.A.No.3516 of 2014 2
4. The application preferred by the first accused was rejected by this Court as per order dated 22.05.2014 in B.A.No.3184 of 2014. On hearing both sides and going through the order, I do not find reason to take a different view in this matter.
The application is dismissed. But it is directed that in case the petitioner is arrested, he shall be produced before the jurisdictional magistrate as early as possible.
