JUDGMENT / ORDER

Court No. - 29
Case :- WRIT - C No. - 2522 of 2019 Petitioner :- Anurag Srivastava And 3 Others Respondent :- Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaj And 2 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Arvind Srivastava Counsel for Respondent :- Rohit Pandey
Hon'ble Pankaj Mithal,J. Hon'ble Rohit Ranjan Agarwal,J.
Heard Sri Arvind Srivastava, learned Counsel for the petitioners and Sri Rohit Pandey, learned Counsel for the respondents.
The petitioners are students of M.B.B.S. and they appeared in the first professional examination of the said paper but could not successfully pass all the papers. They appeared in the supplementary examination of one of the papers, but have not passed the same. They have preferred this writ petition for a direction that as there is a provision for grant of five grace marks, the same should be awarded so that they may pass the said paper. The Course Committee of the University which is an expert body, in its meeting held on 27.7.2015, clarified that grace marks shall not be awarded if a candidate appears in the supplementary examination.
In view of the above as there is no provision for awarding grace marks in the supplementary examination, the petitioners are not entitled to any relief in this petition. The writ petition, therefore, has no merits and is dismissed.
