Learned Standing Counsel has opposed the writ petition and has submitted that since the cause of action which was there with the petitioners at the time of filing of the writ petition was no longer there, no order is required to be passed in the writ petition.
I have perused the writ petition. The period during which the petitioners were being forced to deposit the firearms is now over.
Under such circumstances, no order is required to be passed. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous.
