The petitioners claim that they were students of B.Tech. course in respondent no.5 institution during academic session 2014-15. Their claim for fee/scholarship reimbursement is still pending and has not been settled so far. The petitioners have consequently prayed for issuance of a writ of mandamus commanding the respondents to reimburse fee/scholarship amount to them as per Government Scheme.
Learned counsel for the petitioners points out that on 10.1.2017, the District Social Welfare Officer sent a communication to various institutions to furnish information regarding name of students to whom scholarship/fee reimbursement had not been made by that time. In pursuance thereof, it is claimed that the petitioners' institution furnished the details. It includes names of the petitioners herein but still no action has been taken by the respondents so far.
Learned standing counsel very fairly states that respondent no.4, who is competent to examine the grievance of the petitioners, shall take decision in the matter within such time as may be directed by this Court.
Accordingly, without entering into the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to approach respondent no.4 with a certified copy of this order and a fresh representation and in which event, he shall decide the same by means of a speaking order in accordance with law, expeditiously and preferably within next four months.
