JUDGMENT / ORDER

Ashok Bhushan, Ag. C.J. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader.
2. By this writ petition, the petitioner has approached this Court for a mandamus directing respondents 1 and 2 to grant adequate and meaningful police protection to the life of the petitioner, his family members and also to the staff from obstruction and harassment from respondent no. 3. The petitioner has referred to an incident dated 1.12.2014, where it is alleged that a group of persons came to the residential house of the petitioner and intimidated and threatened the petitioner and his wife.
3. The learned Government Pleader, after obtaining instructions, submitted that after the police having come to know about the incident, an enquiry has been conducted and the statement of the petitioner was also recorded. It was found on enquiry that there was only exchange of hot words and no further incident has taken place. It is submitted that police station is nearby to the medical shop of the petitioner and police is keeping a vigil in the area.
4. In view of the above statement of the learned W.P (C) No. 33525 of 2014 -: 2 :-
Government Pleader, we see no reason to issue any direction in the matter. If there is any offence or attempt to commit offence, it shall be open for the petitioner to file appropriate complaint before the police authorities.
With the above observation, the writ petition is closed.
