While entertaining the writ petition following orders were passed on 8.8.2018:-
"It is contended that although petitioner has scored marks above the cut-off in the respective category, yet he has not been selected.
Learned Standing Counsel may obtain instructions, by the next date. Put up in the additional cause list on 16.8.2018."
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions, according to which, petitioner has scored 371.10 marks, while cut-off marks in the respective category is 394.73. The break-up of marks obtained by the petitioner has also been clearly specified by contending that petitioner has scored 71.50 marks in high school and 68.80 marks in intermediate, and he has also obtained 162 marks in physical efficiency test. His total marks works out to 371.70 marks, which is below the cut-off in the respective category.
In such circumstances, no relief can be granted to the petitioner. Writ petition is, accordingly, consigned to records.
