Heard Sri Shiv Nath Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Amit Sinha, learned A.G.A. for the State-respondents.
This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner, seeking a direction to the police authorities to conduct fair and impartial investigation in respect of Crime No.1112 of 2018 for the offence under Sections 384, 323, 504, 506 of IPC, P.S. Naubasta, District Kanpur Nagar.
According to the petitioner, on 8.12.2018, he lodged a report against the private respondents for commission of offence under Sections 384, 323, 504, 506 of IPC, but till date, nothing has been done by the State authorities. The petitioner apprehends that accused persons are being given shelter by the police authorities.
State counsel submits that the police authorities are under an obligation to do fair and impartial investigation and the same would be done expeditiously in accordance with law.
The present petition is disposed of, expecting police authorities to conclude fair and impartial investigation of the aforesaid case, expeditiously in accordance with law on the basis of evidence so collected.
It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on merits of the case and the authorities to act in accordance with law.
