Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the State-respondent.
Petitioner is before this Court with a request to issue a mandamus commanding the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of Constable P.A.C. on the basis of measurement of height taken by the respondents during physical standard test. Further prayer is to issue a mandamus directing the respondents to send the petitioner for training on the post of Constable P.A.C. in pursuance of selection vide advertisement dated 14.1.2018 issued by Additional Secretary (Recruitment) Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow.
Learned counsel for the petitioner in support of his submissions has placed reliance upon the judgment passed by this Court in Bhanu Pratap Rajput Vs. State of U.P. and Others (Writ-A No. 14195 of 2018) and as such it is sought to be contended that the present matter is squarely covered by the aforesaid judgment and the similar treatment may also be extended to the petitioner.
The above said argument of learned counsel for the petitioner is not disputed by learned Standing Counsel.
The writ petition is accordingly allowed in terms of Bhanu Pratap Rajput(supra). Requisite consideration would be offered to the petitioner within a period of two months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
