JUDGMENT / ORDER

Mohanan,J:
The petitioner, who moved Exts.P1 and P2 before the Family Court, Kollam preferred the above original petition under Article 227 of the Constitution of India with a prayer to call for the records leading to Exts.P1 and P2 and issue a direction to the Family Court, Kollam to try and dispose of the above cases as expeditiously as possible within the time limit fixed by this Court.
2. We heard the learned counsel for the petitioner.
3. We notice that in similar situation, we have called for the report from the Presiding Officer of the Family Court, Kollam in which it is stated that more than 4000 cases are pending in the said court for disposal. In the light of the averments contained in paragraph 8 of this petition, it can be seen that the above cases are O.P(FC) No. 311 of 2014 :-2-:
being posted regularly for the appearance of the parties and also for counter etc., if any in the said matters. In the light of the heavy pendency of works in that court, if the cases are regularly posted in every month, the court will not get sufficient time to enter into its substantial work, otherwise delay in disposal of the pending matters is likely to increase. So, we find no fault with the Presiding Officer. If this Court issued a direction as prayed for, it will create unnecessary stress and work load upon the court and especially, when no reason is made out to give preference over the matter pending before that court and to take up the petitions which are filed during the year 2013. There is no merit in this petition and accordingly, the same is dismissed.
V.K.MOHANAN, Judge A.HARIPRASAD, MBS/ Judge.
