While entertaining this petition, following orders were passed on 29.08.2018:-
"Grievance is that petitioner has scored marks above the cut-off, yet, she has not been selected.
Learned Standing Counsel may obtain instructions, by the next date fixed. Put up in additional cause list on 10.9.2018"
Learned standing counsel has obtained instructions, copy of which has been furnished to the counsel for the petitioner. As per the instructions, petitioner has scored 403.13 marks after taking into consideration her marks in High School examination, which is 72.33% and intermediate marks, which is 79.40%. Petitioner has also scored 172 marks in physical efficiency test. Total works out to 403.13 marks, which is below the cut off for OBC (female candidate), i.e., 410.10 marks.
Since petitioner has failed to score marks above the cut off, she can have no grievance if she has not selected.
The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
