Sri Ramesh Chandra Agrahari, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has filed an application for release of his vehicle under Section 15(1) of the U.P. Gangster Act in Case No.00035/2021 (Computerized Case No.D202115510000035 (Anis Ahmad vs. State) on 4.1.2021 but till date no action whatsoever has been taken.
The learned AGA rightly submits that no useful purpose would be served by keeping this petition pending and it be disposed of by giving appropriate direction to the authority concerned.
This writ petition is disposed of with the direction to the authority concerned i.e. the District Magistrate, Mau to consider and dispose of the release application of the petitioner dated 4.1.2021, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within 6 weeks from the date of the receipt of this order, in accordance with law.
