JUDGMENT / ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the applicant and the learned A.G.A. This application under section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed with prayer to decide the bail application of the applicant expeditiously, if possible, on the same day.
So far as the prayer regarding consideration of his bail application on the same day is concerned, the Apex Court in Lal Kamlendra Pratap Singh Vs. State of U.P. (2009 (3) A.D.J. 322 (S.C.) as well as Full Bench of this Court in Amrawati and another Vs. State of U.P. (2004 (57) A.L.R. 290), have finally settled that courts have discretionary jurisdiction to consider the application for grant of bail. The law settled in the aforesaid cases need no be repeated again and again.
In the circumstances, this application under section 482 Cr.P.C. is finally disposed of with the direction that bail application of the applicant in Case Crime No. 459 of 2009, under sections 307/504/506 IPC of P.S. Ramchandra Mission, District-Shahjahanpur will be considered and disposed of expeditiously by the court concerned in accordance with law.
