By means of this writ petition the petitioner, who is the gram pradhan has challenged the order dated 30.11.2018 which is an order of Block Development Officer on the direction of District Magistrate, Budaun requiring the petitioner to furnish certain documents for the works done during the year 2015-16.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that earlier also such an order was passed and inquiry was conducted and no material was found against the petitioner, but only to harass the petitioner again these documents are being demanded which are now in the custody of Secretary of the Gram Sabha.
The petitioner on the earlier occasion was required to show in the rules as to who is the custodian of papers for the work done in the Gram Sabha, but no provision has been shown. The District Magistrate if requires certain documents, it is the duty of the petitioner to produce such documents before the appropriate authority.
That being the case, we are not inclined to interfere. The writ petition is, accordingly, dismissed.
