3. Srinivasan ... Respondents This petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents 1and 2 to produce the body of the petitioner's daughter - the detenue Gnanavalli, aged about 17 years, and set her at liberty.

J. ) The petitioner is the father of the detenue - Gnanavalli. Her date of birth is 23.06.1997. According to the petitioner, the detenue went missing on 25.06.2014. On a complaint made by the petitioner, a case in Crime No.27of 2014 was registered for "Girl Missing" by the 1st respondent police on 01.07.2014. But, the detenue was not secured by the police. Therefore, the she has come up with the present petition.
2. This petition has been pending from 12.07.2016.
The detenue was not produced before this court by tracing her out. This matter came up for hearing before this court on several occasions. But the detenue was not produced. Finally, on 21.09.2016, this court directed the Superintendent of Police, Krishnagiri District, to trace out the detenue and produce her before this court. It was only thereafter, it appears, that effective steps have been taken, the girl has been secured and produced before this court. Now, she is aged twenty one years. She would state that she has completed XII Standard. She would further state that the 3rd respondent had fallen in love with her. He is a photographer by profession. On 25.06.2016, according to her, she went along with the 3rd respondent - Srinivasan and from then onwards she was living with him as his wife. She says that after completion of eighteen years of age, she married the 3rd respondent and now she wants to go with her father. The said statement is recorded.
3. In view of the above, the habeas corpus petition is closed permitting the detenue to go with her father or to take a decision on her own.
