JUDGMENT / ORDER

Petitioners claiming to be headload workers and convenors of registered trade unions are before this Court. According to them, so far as their right in the scheme covered area or a particular area same is confirmed by series of orders - Exts.P2 to P4 including judgment from this Court. According to them, inspite of said conformation to their right respondents 1 to 4 and their members illegally obstruct loading and unloading works done by members of petitioner union and inspite of representation respondent police did not give any assistance. Therefore, they are before this Court. If there is any law and order situation, Police shall intervene and do the needful. Merely Exts.P2 to P4 are in favour of petitioner union, they cannot claim a blanket protection order to be kept with them in their pocket. As and when disturbance is caused, they can always approach the police.

In the light of above situation, police also can keep a watch over area so as to stop any untoward incident which may disturb tranquility in that area. Accordingly, petition is disposed of directing respondent police to respond, if any complaint is lodged reporting any unlawful activities of respondents creating law and order problem.
