Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Sri C.Sunil Kumar Reddy, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents.
This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a writ of mandamus declaring the action of the 3rd respondent in imposing the punishment of deferment of the annual increment for a period of two years with cumulative effect and treating the period of suspension as not on duty for all purposes as bad, arbitrary and illegal and consequently direct the respondents to restore the deferred increments by treating the suspension period as on duty for all purposes.
The learned standing counsel appearing for the respondent-corporation would submit that there is an efficacious alternative remedy by way of an appeal and the petitioner can avail the said remedy.
Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of directing the petitioner to prefer an appeal before the appellate authority. No order as to costs. The Miscellaneous Petitions pending if any shall stand closed.
