JUDGMENT / ORDER

PRAYER: Criminal Original petition filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the respondent to file the final report in Crime No.594 of 2017, dated 25.07.2017, on the file of the respondent police within a stipulated period fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. The petitioner is the de-facto complainant and it is stated that the complaint was lodged by the petitioner as against the proposed accused in Crime No.594 of 2017 for the alleged offences under Sections 406 and 420 of I.P.C. However, there was no further investigation by the respondent police. Therefore, a direction by this Court would be in the interest of Justice.
4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor on instructions submitted that the respondent police has almost completed the investigation and final report will be filed within a period of three months.
5.Considering the limited scope of prayer in this petition and the submission of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:
?The Criminal Original petition is allowed with a direction to the respondent police to expedite the investigation and file a final report in Crime No.594 of 2017 within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.?
