The petitioner approached the District Collector by Ext.P4. Ext.P4 is the appeal filed under Section 9(6) of the Kerala Conservation of Paddy Land and Wet Land Act, 2008 read with Rule 6. The petitioner, in fact, sought a permission to conversion of 10 cents of paddy land owned by him. This was rejected by the District Level Authorizing Committee. Aggrieved by that the petitioner has approached the District Collector by Ext.P4. The petitioner has also submitted that he has paid requisite fee due on the appeal memorandum.
In view of the above, the District Collector-fourth respondent herein shall consider Ext.P4 within a period of one month after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner .
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
