Petitioners are the students studying in Rakarshi Memorial Higher Secondary School. They participated in 981 Vattappattu competition at Ernakulam Revenue District School Kalolsavam 2014-2015 during the first week of December 2014. Petitioners submits that they are placed at Grade A. Petitioners further submits that they made an attempt to file an appeal before the Appeal Committee, but that was not considered. Petitioners case is that the appeal was not accepted for the reason that it was filed after time.
2. Considering the facts and circumstances, I am of the view, State Level Competition is scheduled only in the first week of January 2015. Petitioners are permitted to file an appeal before the first respondent within a period of three days from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. Appeal filed by the petitioners shall be considered within a further period of seven days before State Level Competition.
The writ petition is disposed of.
