JUDGMENT / ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, M/s.S.Indira Gandhi, Sub- Inspector of Police, All Women Police Station, Thirupparankundram, Madurai, is present in Court today. On instructions, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) submitted that since the allegations relate to matrimonial offence, the Social Welfare Officer is conducting enquiry and the accused participated in an enquiry, but, whereas, the petitioner did not.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is willing to appear before the Social Welfare Officer and co-operate with the enquiry.
3. Recording the submission, the petitioner is directed to appear before the Social Welfare Officer and co-operate with the enquiry and after getting the necessary report from the Social Welfare Officer, the respondent police is directed to further proceed with the investigation in Crime No.8 of 2016 expeditiously.
4. At this juncture, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner does not have even her apparel and household articles, which have been illegally retained by the accused. The respondent police is directed to look into the same and take action in accordance with law.
5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
