JUDGMENT / ORDER

The petitioner is a minor represented through her guardian mother. The petitioner applied for passport. The passport issuing authority did not consider the petitioner's application for passport. Hence, the petitioner approached this Court. 2. The Assistant Solicitor General filed a statement. In paragraph 6 of the statement, it is stated as follows:
“6. Based on the above provisions, the petitioner's mother can apply for a passport, provided she executes an affidavit before a magistrate in Annexure C. the mother has to produce the original birth certificate. She has to make an application online, fix an appointment with one of the Passport Seva Kendras an deposit the application at the PSK on the appointed date. “
3. The petitioner produced Ext.P5 affidavit executed in the form of 'Annexure C'. This is duly executed before the Notary. In view of the above, based on the original of Ext.P5, the petitioner shall approach the passport issuing authority W.P.(c).No. 31533 of 2014 : 2 :
after obtaining prior appointment. The petitioner shall also produce the original of the Birth Certificate. Based on the above documents, necessary action shall be taken to issue passport to the petitioner within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
