After some arguments, Shri Shailesh Kumar Tripathi, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to approach the competent authority for issuance of a caste certificate.
Considering the importance of caste certificate for availing various constitutional privileges and benefits of State policies, this writ petition is being disposed of with the following directions:
I. The petitioner shall make an application before the competent authority as per law within a period of three weeks from today along with all supporting documents.
II. In case the petitioner files the said application within the aforesaid stipulated period of time, the competent authority shall process the application with all due diligence and after taking requisite enquiries in accordance with law.
III. Decision in regard to the caste certificate of the petitioner shall be made by the competent authority in accordance with law within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order along with the representation of the petitioner.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of finally.
