Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel.
Bearing in mind the serious allegation of demand of illegal gratification, this Court finds no ground warranting interference with the order of suspension. Accordingly while the challenge to the order of suspension is negatived, this petition shall stand disposed of with the observation that the disciplinary authority shall endeavour to conclude the enquiry with expedition and preferably within a period of six months from the date of presentation of a certified copy of this order.
This direction is subject to the petitioner co-operating in the enquiry and not taking any unnecessary adjournment.
