The instant petition is directed against the order dated 15.10.2019 by which the Additional Commissioner (Admn.), Bareilly Division, Bareilly has admitted the revision filed by the petitioners against the order passed in proceedings under Section 34 of the U.P. Land Revenue Act, 1901. The stay application in which the petitioners have prayed for an order of status quo so that their possession may not be interfered with by the other side has been rejected. The order has been challenged to the extent it declines to grant injunction in favour of the petitioners.
In revision arising out of mutation proceedings, the prayer made by the petitioners for grant of status quo in their favour so that their possession may not be interfered with, was wholly beyond the scope of Section 34 of the Act. The injunction application has, therefore, been rightly rejected.
However, the petition is disposed of by providing that the revision should be decided expeditiously by fixing short dates and without granting unnecessary adjournments.
