1. Called in revise. None appeared on behalf of petitioners.
2. By means of the present writ petition, petitioners have sought the following reliefs:
"(i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari calling for the records and quashing the impugned orders dated 12.3.2001 passed by the Joint Director of Education, IV Region Allahabad and order dated 15.10.1996 passed by the District Inspector of Schools, Allahabad (Annexure No. 7 and 5 respectively to the writ petition).
(ii) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondents to pay salary to the petitioners from the date of their initial appointment. Future salary may be directed to be paid on month to month on the basis of other teachers and other staff of the institution with effect from Ist April, 2002. The arrears of salary between Ist July, 1992 to 21st March, 2002 may be directed to be paid within a period of two months from the date of the order of the Hon'ble Court alongwith interest which the Hon'ble Court may so determine."
3. However, I have gone through the pleadings, grounds as also reliefs sought and find that petitioners are not able to make out a case so as to justify interference of this Court by granting reliefs, as prayed for.
4. Moreover, it appears that either the cause of action no more survives or that petitioners have lost interest in this matter or it has otherwise become infructuous and, probably for this reason, none is interested to have decided this matter on merits and that is why, counsel for petitioners is absent.
5. Dismissed. Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
