Heard counsel for the petitioner.
Through order dated 18.4.2017, the District Magistrate, Jaunpur i.e. respondent no. 2 had directed that certain amounts due against respondent nos. 5 to 7 be recovered under Section 27 of the Uttar Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, 1947.
It has been stated in the writ petition that no action has yet been taken by respondent nos. 3 and 4 on the aforesaid order dated 18.4.2017 passed by respondent no. 2 and a reminder dated 6.9.2017 to that effect has been submitted by the petitioner before respondent no. 2.
It would serve no purpose to keep the writ petition pending and therefore the District Magistrate, Jaunpur i.e. respondent no. 2 is directed to take suitable action in accordance with law to ensure compliance of his order dated 18.4.2017 within a period of three months from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
