This petition has been filed with the grievance that public funds are being misused by the Gram Pradhan and that the authorities are not supplying requisite documents to the petitioner.
Learned Standing Counsel has obtained instructions according to which no enquiry is pending against the Gram Pradhan. Prayer has also been made to grant 14 days further time for the purpose.
No specific act of misconduct is alleged against the Gram Pradhan and the anxiety on part of the petitioner is to ask for all records relating to work undertaken in the village. It appears that attempt on the part of the petitioner is to have a roving and fishing enquiry conducted in the matter without disclosing any specific act of misconduct. Applications have also been filed under the RTI Act, which shall be dealt with in accordance with law. No direction in the present writ petition is, therefore, required to be issued at this stage for an enquiry to be conducted. Writ petition lacks merit and is dismissed.
