This writ petition has been filed by the petitioner with a limited prayer for a direction to the Appellate Authority to decide the Appeal No. C 201817000000198 (Amzad Ali Vs. Sub Divisional Magistrate, Khalilabad) pending before the Appellate Authority since 20.2.2018.
Without entering into the merits of the controversy, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Appellate Authority to decide the stay application of the petitioner within a period of two weeks from the date a certified copy of this order is produced before him.
The Appellate Authority shall thereafter make an effort to decide the Appeal itself on merits within a further period of eight weeks.
