Following orders were passed in the matter on 14.8.2018:-
"Petitioner had applied for appointment to the post of Constable GD, pursuant to recruitment exercise undertaken in the year 2012. His grievance is that though he has secured marks above the cut-off, but as he was declared medically unfit, he was denied selection. According to petitioner, he was subsequently re-examined by the authorities at Delhi and was found fit, but even thereafter he has not been issued any appointment letter.
Sri R. K. Vidyarathi, Advocate, who has entered appearance on behalf of authorities of the Union of India, may obtain instructions, by the next date fixed.
Put up in the additional cause list on 23.8.2018."
Despite grant of opportunity, learned counsel representing the respondents has not been able to obtain instructions. It is, however, stated that in case petitioner approaches respondent no.2, his grievance shall be considered by the authority concerned by passing a reasoned order.
In the facts and circumstances, this writ petition stands disposed of permitting the petitioner to approach respondent no.2 in respect of his grievance, noticed above, alongwith certified copy of this order, annexing all materials in support of his claim, within a period of two weeks from today. In case such a claim is raised, the same shall be examined by the authority concerned and appropriate order would be passed, in accordance with law, within a further period of two months thereafter.
