JUDGMENT / ORDER

Vinod Chandran, J.
The petitioners, in W.P.(C).No.11703/2014, had filed the above Writ Petition for police protection, to get married. W.P.(Crl.).No.185/2014 was filed by the father of the second petitioner in the other Writ Petition alleging that his daughter is in illegal custody of the fourth respondent, who is the first petitioner in the other Writ Petition. We had directed Anas Muhammed and Hanna Ameer, the petitioners in W.P.(C).No.11703/2014, to be present before this Court today. On marking their presence, we permitted Ameer Hamsa-the petitioner in W.P.(Crl.).No.185/2014 and the mother of the alleged detenue to interact with their daughter. The matter was again posted at 1.45 p.m., and we talked with the alleged detenue and the father. The alleged detenue submitted that she had gone with Anas Muhammed on her own volition and that she wishes to marry the said Anas Muhammed. We W.P.(C).No.11703/2014 & W.P.(Crl.)No.185/2014 -:2:-
further directed the father and mother of the second petitioner in W.P.(C). No.11703/2014 to interact with each other and to find an amicable solution. The father, Ameer Hamsa, later, has submitted before us that he has been unable to convince his daughter, and that he is withdrawing the Writ Petition (Criminal). W.P.(Crl.).No.185/2014 is hence permitted to be withdrawn and the same is, accordingly, dismissed as withdrawn.
2. The Writ Petition filed by Anas Muhammed and Hanna Ameer is for police protection. Even in the earlier order passed by this Court, we had recorded the specific undertaking of the father of the second petitioner that he will not in any way cause harm to his daughter or Anas Muhammed, with whom she has chosen to live. In such circumstances, we do not see any reason why the Writ Petition should be kept pending, nor is there any sufficient ground to grant police protection. W.P.(C).No.11703/2014 is, therefore, closed.
