The petitioner's vehicle bearing registration No.KL-9-V- 5751 has been seized alleging transportation of minor minerals without permit. The petitioner submits that he has valid permit to transport the minor minerals. The petitioner further submits that the police personnel have no authority to seize the vehicle.
Considering the facts and circumstances, there shall be a direction to the respondent to release the vehicle on executing a simple bond with two sureties. The vehicle shall be released to the petitioner on complying with the above condition. However, this will not stand in the way of the respondent filing a complaint against the petitioner in accordance with law.
The writ petition is disposed of as above.
