Vakalatnama has been filed by applicants and opposite party no. 2 Smt. Maya in the Court today, the same is taken on record.
Heard learned counsel for the applicants, learned A.G.A. for the State of U.P. in opposition and perused the record.
This application under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (in short 'Code') has been filed on behalf of the applicants with a prayer to quash the entire proceedings of Case No. 6683 of 2015 (State vs. Amarpal and others), arising out of Case Crime No. 474 of 2010, under Sections 498-A, 323, 504 of IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act Police Station - Sihani Gate, District - Ghaziabad pending in the Court of A.C.J.M.-I, Ghaziabad on the ground that the parties have settled their dispute.
Learned counsel for the applicants contended that parties have settled their dispute amicably.
This is a case of matrimonial dispute, which has been amicably settled between the parties through mediation, certified copy of which is on record.
As per judgment of Hon'ble Apex Court in the case of Social Action Forum for Manav Adhikar and another Vs. Union of India reported in 2018 SCC OnLine SC 1501, the proceedings of the aforesaid case is quashed.
Accordingly, the instant application stands allowed.
