The matter is of the year 1996. Petitioner was working as Asstt. Accounts Officer in the erstwhile Auto Tractors Ltd. The State Government vide Government Orders dated 11.11.1993, 3.6.1996 and 3.7.1996 took a decision to absorb the retrenched employees of the aforesaid company. The said government orders are on record. Petitioner's grievance is that he has not been absorbed inspite of lapse of more than 18 years, and on one pretext or the other his claim has been rejected by the concerned department.
Inspite of lapse of more than 18 years, respondents 1 and 2 have not filed their counter affidavit. Annexure-16 to the writ petition refers to some letter of the Chief Secretary dated 24.7.1996, in compliance of the earlier order of this court passed in case of the petitioner but the same is also not on record.
Three weeks and no more is granted to the respondents 1 and 2 to file their counter affidavit to the writ petition bringing on record the complete and correct facts as also the reasons as to why petitioner has not been considered for such absorption or if considered, why he has not been absorbed.
