ORDER:
Heard.
2. By the present writ petition, petitioner seeks Mandamus against the inaction of the investigating officer, respondent No.2, in investigating Crime No.78 of 2014 registered on his file.
3. Learned Government Pleader for Home, who had taken instructions in the matter submits, on that basis, that crime No.78 of 2014 was registered on 21.03.2014 and investigation is taken up; that the investigation officer has examined the complainant and recorded his statement and has already addressed a letter to the Cyber Crimes Police Station, CID, Hyderabad, requesting to send a letter to the Goggle, CA, USA, for removal of the video postings from Youtube. Based on the letter of the investigation officer, the Superintendent of Police, Cyber Crimes, CID, has already issued a notice under Section 91 Cr.P.C., dated 21.06.2014, addressed to the in-charge of the Google requesting to remove the postings from Youtube and the link and the I.P.Address of the suspected accused is also communicated and the reply from Youtube is expected.
4. From the above instructions, it is evident that the investigation is already under progress and further progress would depend upon the reply received to the letters referred to above, and respondent No.2, therefore, seeks three months further time.
5. In view of the progress already made with regard to the investigation, no further directions are called for except directing respondent No.2 to complete the investigation, as expeditiously as possible, and then take appropriate further steps in accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
