This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking to challenge order dated 30.3.2019 passed by Commissioner, Agra Division, Agra under Section 6 of the U.P. Control of Goondas Act (hereinafter referred to as the 'Act') dismissing Appeal No. 00471 of 2019, (Alli Vs. State) and affirming order dated 31.1.2019 passed by Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Agra, in computer case no. D201810100006894 of 2018 under Section 3 of the Act ordering externment of the petitioner for a period of six months.
The submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that the order of externment for six months was passed on 31.1.2019, the petitioner had already undergone almost half period of externment and remaining period was stayed by this Court. He further submits that the period of externment came to an end on 31.7.2019 thus the present petition has become infructuous by efflux of time.
In view of the above, this writ petition has become infructuous and it is, accordingly, disposed of.
Interim order, granted earlier, stands discharged.
