JUDGMENT / ORDER

After hearing all parties, this Court is of the opinion that the writ petition can be closed without going into the merits. The only grievance projected herein, is the non-convening of election to the 1st respondent College. The University had notified election to all colleges under the University. However, the first respondent had some objection with respect to the date, since exams were going on in the said college. In any event, now, the learned Government Pleader, on instruction, would state before Court, that any date between 16th and 19th of December is convenient and the Principal prefers it to be on 19th; since, it is a Friday and the last working day before the Holidays. 2. In such circumstance, the University shall consider the request of the Principal, taking into note the WPC.No.30224/2014 : 2 :
preference placed on record. The University shall take such decision within a period of one week from today. The concurrence of the University as to the date shall be communicated within one week.
Writ petition is disposed of.
