ORDER:
Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader appearing for Respondents 1 and 2.
This Writ Petition was filed seeking a direction to respondents 1 and 2 to protect the petitioner’s life and agricultural lands situated in Ramasingavaram village, Pedavegi mandal, West Godavari District from the hands of Respondents 3 and 4 and their henchmen.
This Court by order dated 28.05.2008 directed respondents 1 and 2 to take up the complaint purported to have been filed by the petitioner on 26.11.2007 and take appropriate action as per law.
A counter affidavit has been filed by the second respondent stating that the complaint of the petitioner dated 26.11.2007 has been received and a case in Crime No. 177 of 2007 was registered thereon and after investigating the crime, a final report was filed before the learned Special Judicial First Class Magistrate for Excise, at Eluru on 2.4.2008.
In view of the averments made in the counter affidavit, no further orders are necessary in the Writ Petition.
The Writ Petition is dismissed as having become infructuous. Miscellaneous petitions pending consideration if any in the Writ Petition shall stand closed in consequence. No order as to costs.
