Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Standing Counsel for the State respondents.
By means of the present writ petition, the petitioners have prayed for a direction in the nature of mandamus directing the State-respondents to give them protection so that the private respondents may not interfere in their peaceful marital life. It is stated that their marriage was registered on 17.7.2021(a photostat copy of the marriage registration certificate as has been handed over by the learned counsel for the petitioners be kept on record). The record of the case reveals that they are major. No F.I.R. has been registered against them.
The record further reveals that the petitioners have approached the police when disturbances were being caused by the private respondent in their marital life.
Learned Standing Counsel states that as per the Government Order dated 31.8.2019, the petitioners may approach the police and the requisite protection shall be given to them.
Under such circumstances, a direction is being issued that as and when the petitioners approach the police, requisite protection would be given to the petitioners under the Government Order dated 31.8.2019.
If the petitioners feel that the protection granted by the police is not sufficient, they may again approach the High Court.
No notice is being issued to the private parties. However, if they find that any false averment has been made in this writ petition, they can file for the recall of the order.
The writ petition is, accordingly, disposed of.
