This writ petition, inter alia, has been filed for the following reliefs;
"i) issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding/directing the respondents to decide the mutation application No. R/261/Z.O.1 dated 19.4.2018 pending before the Respondent No. 2 within stipulated time as fixed by this Hon'ble Court (Annexure No. 3 to the writ petition)."
Heard Sri M.K. Yadva holding brief of Sri Rajesh Tripathi, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Standing Counsel and perused the record.
Learned counsel for the petitioner stated that his mutation application is pending before the Respondent No. 2, Zonal Officer Zone-1, Municipal Corporation, Kanpur Nagar since 19.4.2018 and the same has not yet been decided.
Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the Respondent No. 2 to decide the mutation application of the petitioner pending before it after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, copy of the writ petition and its annexures.
