1. In the present petition the petitioner has challenged the suspension order dated 08.05.2018 pending disciplinary proceedings.
2. The petitioner was a Branch Manager. Huge cash has been deposited in the bank account of his wife. When specific question was put to the learned counsel for the petitioner what was the source of income of the wife of the petitioner, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is not aware of the fact about the wife of the petitioner. The allegations are that the petitioner used to charge 5.5% as bribe for sanctioning loan to the farmers and other persons. Huge cash amount has been deposited in the bank account of wife which is reflected from Annexure-4 to the writ petition.
3. There is no ground to interfere with the suspension order. However, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after issuance of the suspension order on 08.05.2018 till date no charge sheet has been served upon the petitioner.
4. In view of the aforesaid, respondent No.2 is directed to conclude the disciplinary proceedings against the petitioner within a period of 6 months from the date of service of certified copy of this order is produced. It is needless to mention here that the petitioner is to cooperate with the disciplinary proceedings and will not seek adjournment which is not warranted otherwise.
5. In view of the aforesaid directions/observation, the writ petition is disposed of.
