The petitioner seeks a direction upon the District Commandant Homeguard, Varanasi to provide two armed Homeguards to the petitioner.
It is not the case of the petitioner that he is victim of any crime and needs protection for his life and liberty. The case of the petitioner rather is that in connection with his work, he needs protection and, therefore, the District Magistrate, Varanasi has written letter to the District Commandant Homeguard, Varanasi to provide two homeguards to enable him to serve properly.
As it is matter between two departments of the State, we decline to interfere in the matter but leave it open to the petitioner to represent his grievance to the District Magistrate, Varanasi who can pursue the matter with the District Commandant Homeguards.
With the aforesaid liberty, the petition is disposed of.
